The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider the following budget extension
requests:
Veteran Assistance Fund, Fund #104, Department #146 in the amount of $75,000.00 due to the
high volume of Veteran Assistance Claims being filed. Funding will be transferred from the VAB
Reserve Fund (104.146).
Facilities and Maintenance Fund #126, Department #168 in the amount of $39.,527.17 for
Juvenile Court and Youth Services- Moses Lake exterior project (FM2111 in the amount of
$56,.769.08) and the Health District Part 2 exterior project (FM2112 in the amount of
$72,953.20) utilizing $45,000 from the water heater project and using REET 1 funds.
Juvenile Court and Youth Services Fund #0011 Department #117 in the amount of $25,079.00 to
receive a Washington State Department of Commerce VOCA grant funds no. F19-31219-456 for
wages and salaries.
Madeline Prentice, Chief Accountant, stated that the budget extension amount for Juvenile should be
$25,079.00., not at the advertised amount of $46,381.00. The extra amount of $21,302.00 is already
budgeted in different accounts, they need a budget transfer in this amount.
A motion was made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to close the public
comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by
Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Jones to approve the budget extensions, amending
Juvenile Court to the amount to $25,079.00 and include a budget transfer in the amount of $$21,.302.00.
The motion passed unanimously.
