As discussed and approved during the 2020 fall budget process for the 2021 year, the Technology Services
Department was approved funds for Professional Services funds. BARS code 501.179-00-0000.51880.4100
As part of replacing server hardware that makes up our VMware virtual environment cluster, Technology
Services requires additional professional services to install and configure these servers.
The cost for these professional services is a onetime fee of $7,356.02 (See attached quote). Technology
Services has sufficient funds to pay for these professional services.
I recommend that we procure these services to ensure that the installation be performed correctly and to the
most current and best-known standards and practices.

Ednetics Project Scope of Work
Executive Summary
Ednetics will upgrade the existing 6 VMware hosts to 6.5. Ednetics will deploy a fresh vCenter 7 Appliance.
Ednetics will configure the 4 new hosts in a cluster. Ednetics will remove the existing 6.5 hosts and add them
to the new vCenter Appliance. Ednetics will work with the customer to migrate VMs to the new cluster.
Ednetics will do all work remotely via VPN / WebEx. Ednetics will provide project management throughout
the life of the project.

Customer Responsibilities
• Providing Ednetics with a fully functional Cisco IPSEC VPN for remote access to the data network/s.
This is to remain in place while the project or any subsequent support contracts are in effect.
• Providing upgraded VMware license keys.
Ednetics Responsibilities
Planning
• Work with customer to determine VLAN, IP, NTP, DNS and hostname configurations.
Implementation
• Configure new ESXi 7 hosts.
• Deploy and configure vCenter 7 server appliance.
• Upgrade ESXi on existing cluster to 6.5.
• Create two new cluster on vCenter appliance.
• Add new hosts to first cluster.
• Remove old hosts from old vCenter inventory.
• Add old hosts to new vCenter second cluster.
• Work with customer to migrate VMs from old hosts to new hosts.
Decommission all but two hosts from the old server cluster to be used for VDI.
Testing and Training
• Verify upgraded servers are functioning and communicating on the network.
Conditions of Service
This service project has been priced based on the above scope of work and corresponding bill of materials.
Project pricing does not reflect a price per unit installation, but the project scope as a whole. Changes to the
bill of materials or scope will need to be evaluated by Ednetics for potential revisions in this service pricing.
Average service costs per unit are not guaranteed or fixed with changes in equipment quantity or scope.
