The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing as required in RCW 36.70A.390 to accept public
comments on the Wind and Solar Development Moratorium enacted on August 3, 2021 through
Ordinance No. 21 -080 -CC.
Damien Hooper, Director of Development Services stated that on August 3, 2021 the commissioners
adopted Ordinance No. 21 -080 -CC that requires a public hearing to be held within 6 months after
adoption.
Mary Gilman, Schorzman Family LLC spoke in favor of having wind/solar farms in Grant County.
Curt Morris, Port District #1/Port of Quincy, spoke in favor of wind/solar farms.
A motion was made by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Stone, to close the public
comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously. No further motion was necessary as
the Ordinance was already passed.
