Re: Support of CAD Homes Development in Mattawa
Dear Mattawa City Council,
Grant County Commissioners are writing in support of CAD Homes application for annexation into the
City of Mattawa.
Southwest Grant County (Mattawa, Desert Aire, etc.) needs more housing, and this proposed 40 -acre
housing development would help to meet the increased demand for housing in the area and provide a
much-needed additional supply of affordable single-family residential homes in the Mattawa area.
Additionally, this proposed housing development would create a larger supply of affordable homes that
would help to meet the Mattawa community's housing needs.
As a result, we would strongly urge the Mattawa City Council's approval of CAD Homes request for
annexation into the City of Mattawa, as it would provide more opportunities for our residents to own
homes instead of leasing or renting.

Hope all is well with you everyone.
We would kindly ask for a letter of support from Grant County regarding CAD Homes Development in the City of
Mattawa.
The port has been working with CAD Homes to develop residential units, single-family homes and duplexes, for sale in
southwest Grant County. The location of this development is a 40 acre hay field, adjacent west of the school district.
They are advance in their pre -construction phase. All they need now is to be approved by the City of Mattawa Council to
annex them into the city limits. The port strongly supports this project as we have minimal to no housing inventory for
our growing young population.
Our planner will be attending council meetings to urge them to make this project happen. Please find attached a
template that can help you with your letter.
