HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 22-077-CCBOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Grant County, Washington RESOLUTION No. 22- 01� -CC WHEREAS, the following Grant County funds do not have an adequate level of budget for the following expenses: Auditor's Office — Accounting in the amount of $118,440.60 to the current expense fund 001.000 and $206,881.20 to the Vessel Registration Fees Fund 142.001. These funds are received from the State of Washington and are to be used for boating safety education and enforcement per RCW 79A.60.010; Economic Enhancement Strategic Infrastructure Program Fund 113.155 in the amount of $500,000.00 for project SIP #2022-02 Grant County Hospital District No. 4, McKay Healthcare, Phase 1 Capital Improvement Plan — Emergency Generator Expansion; and Central Services in the amount of $250,000.00 to Current Expense Fund 00 1. 112 to receive grant funds from the Washington State Department of Agriculture for the MUSCO lighting project at the Fairgrounds. WHEREAS, these additional budget expenditures were not anticipated when preparing the 2022 budget; and WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 3 6.40.140 a public hearing, must be held to authorize additional budget appropriations. WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of August 2022 at 3:20 p.m., a public hearing was held in the Grant County Commissioners' Hearing Room. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, that a budget appropriation in the total amount of $868,440.60 to be allocated to the 2022 budget according to the following schedule of categories and items: APPROPRIATIONS &FINANCING SOURCES (See Attached) PASSED AND ADOPTED this _)'i' """day of � , 2022. Katie Smith, Chief Accountant, was in attendance to answer any questions. A motion was made by Commissioner Carter, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to close the public comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by Commissioner Carter, seconded by Commissioner Jones to approve the budget extensions as presented. The motion passed unanimously.
