Lanny Abundiz has been offered the position of Crisis Intervention, Specialist. Lanny is currently
paid ata: and 11 step 3, we are asking that she start in the Crisis Intervention Specialist
position at a band 11 step 5. We, believe that this step increase is appropriate due.to the
experience and qualifications that Lanny would bring to the crisis department. The crisis
positions are historically difficult to fill due to the 24/7 on call schedule and unpredictable
nature of the work. Lanny has confirmed that she is able and willing to work the on-call hours.
Lanny has a. great deal of experience working with high risk and high acuity individuals which
has allowed her to gain skill in working in unpredictable crisis situations. Lanny also has
experience working with youth, which is currently a high-risk population for crisis, her
knowledge and skill in this area will be a great benefit for the crisis team and youth mobile crisis
team in particular. Lanny has demonstrated a great work ethic and true teamwork approach
which is of huge value to the crisis tea rn working 24/7, Lanny is bilingual (Spanish speaking)
which is: a need in this department as we have a high number of monolingual referrals. Lanny is
already trained" on the EMHR that Renew utilizes and is preparedto start crisis training right
away.

Difficult position to fill due to on-call and unpredictable nature to the work.
