Most campgrounds, public and private, have some type of age limit on RV's that can camp at
their facility. The age limit prevents potential campers from coming in that may not run, are
extremely derelict or could possibly be doing illegal activities. Most of the issues we have with
restrooms, drugs, etc stem from RV's that are older or derelict. Complaints from other campers
typically stem from those coming in to camp in very old RV's.
1 am requesting authorization to implement an age limit on campers using the facility of 30
years. And limiting the look of an RV as how it may detract from the experience of other
campers. The rule 1 propose is below and is based on several other campgrounds rule:
The Grant County Fairgrounds restricts RV's older than 30 years. The Fairgrounds also
restricts RV's that have been aesthetically modified in a fashion to detract from the overall
quality of the camping experience. If either of these apply to your RV please contact the
Fairgrounds at 509-765-3581 for further clarification.
This rule would not apply for Fair.
truly believe this will cut down on our illegal drug trafficking, damage to the grounds and make
the stay of others more pleasant.
