Good evening Grant County Board of Health present members and potential members and alternates, I have a few short updates for all of you. Attached you will find the completed resolution adopted by the Board of County Commissioners. We will have a few modifications to the Grant County Board of Health resolution to be adopted at our July Board of Health meeting to align with the final decisions of the Commissioners. The Commissioners have not set a date for appointing the community members to the board of health but will do so in the coming weeks. I have asked that they please let me know when the appointments are added to their agenda so that I can share that information with all of you. The following community members were selected by the Grant County Board of Health to be considered for appointment by the Grant County Board of County Commissioners. Seat 5 — Healthcare/Public Health Seat re - Member Sheila B rSchauer, Ephrata resident (CEO Moses Lake & Quincy Community Health Centea Alterna a Reaghan Kate Siebein, Moses Lake Resident (Nurse Practitioner Confluence Health) 54 Seat 7 — Community Stakeholder Seat 4(Pv �-- Membe Fuhriman Moses Lake Resident 101 Alternate Matthew Paluch, Moses Lake Resident F 1 w W The following three city elected officials will be presented to the Association of Cities and Towns for their recommendations for the two elected officials seats 3 and 4 as well as the alternate. Those final names will be presented to the Commissioners for final appointment. The Commissioners have decided to retain their authority to appoint the 'alsto serve on the board as outlined in House Bill 1152. �em Harris. Quincv nna,Marfinez,, Moses Lake t_ A We have also been working on a plan for the Tribal seat appointment. The commissioners are drafting a letter to the Indian Health Commission and Colville Tribe requesting a tribal representative to join the board of health and requesting if they choose to not fill the seat at this time to please inform the commissioners so that they may appoint one of the citizen alternates to the board. We continue to recruit for the consumers of public health seat. Thank you for your patience as we navigate the changes to our board structure. &aL+- ia' 1
