NOTICE OF HEARING TO CONSIDER
AN ORDINANCE MODIFYING
CHAPTER 11.34 OF THE GRANT
COUNTY CODE TITLED OPERATION
OF GOLF CARTS ALLOWING THE
USE OF GOLF CARTS UPON CERTAIN
COUNTY ROADS
RESOLUTION No. 22- 04�t' -CC
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington, adopted Ordinance No. 17 -039 -CC which
established Grant County Code Ch. 11.30 regarding the use of OFF-ROAD VEHICLES on
County roads; including 11.34 Golf Carts and
WHEREAS, Grant County has received petitions concerning Moore Road and to include
all of Blue Lakes area County maintained roads for amending said ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the County completed a State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) checklist
outlining possible environmental impacts related to the use of ORV's which allowed for a public
comment period; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners (`Board") finds that it is in the best
interest of the public to adopt provisions allowing for the use of ORVs, including Golf Carts, upon
designated County roads, and to impose penalties via 11.30.040 for the violation thereof; and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that the above stated purpose will be furthered by modifying
Chapter 11.34 of the Grant County Code; and
WHEREAS, the Board will hold a public hearing regarding the amendment of the Grant
County Traffic Codes (GCTC),

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the Grant County Board
of Commissioners set a public hearing on the ordinance and other related matters to be held in
the Hearing Room of the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Washington, located
in the County Courthouse, Ephrata, Washington at 3:30 PM, on Tuesday, the July 26, 2022.
Grant County is providing access to this scheduled hearing via WebEx audio. To participate in the hearing please
call in to the hearing at 1 (408) 418-9388 and enter the access code 2483 456 3233, you will be joined to the
meeting in a `muted ' status until such time as the hearing allows for public testimony. If you have any questions
about this procedure, please contact Barb O'Neill at Grant County Public Works. The full text will be mailed upon
request. Comments may be mailed in but must be received before the hearing date.
