Sheriff's Office and Technology Services Budget Extensions

The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider the following budget extension
requests:
• Sheriff's Office in the amount of $332,000.00 (001.114) for the purchase of 98 mobile to
mobile car radios for entire Sheriff's Office Fleet.
• Technology Services in the amount of $155.,443.51 (501.179) for Microsoft Licensing Fees
Ryan Rectenwald, Undersheriff discussed their request. The original request was made in 2021 but the
expense wasn't made until 2022 and the amount was not carried over into their 2022 budget. Another
budget extension is now being needed.
Tom Gaines, Central Services Director, discussed their request. Current Expense funding will be used.
A motion was made by Commissioner Jones, seconded by. Commissioner Carter, to close the public
comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by
Commissioner Carter, seconded by Commissioner Jones to approve the budget extensions as presented.
The motion passed unanimously.
