RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION RESOLUTION No. 22- -CC
OF INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN
GRANT COUNTY (THROUGH RENEW) AND
WAFILUKE SCHOOL DISTRICT 73
REGARDING COUNSELING SERVICES
WHEREAS, Chapter 39.34 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local governmental
entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate with other localities
on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing services and facilities in a manner and
pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will accord best with geographic, economic,
population and other factors influencing the needs and development of local communities; and
WHEREAS, Waluke School District 73 is a public school as defined in Chapter 28A RCW and
authorized pursuant to Chapter 3 9.3 4 RCW to enter into interlocal agreements; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington, by and through Renew, is vested with authority to enter
into an interlocal agreement pursuant to Chapter 3 9.3 4 RCW; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of Grant County, by and through its department of Renew, and
Wahluke School District 73 thereafter (District) to enter into an interlocal agreement for the purpose
providing District students with counseling services through necessary coordination of District teachers,
counselors, psychologists and/or other District representatives as may be mutually agreed upon by the
parties in accordance with other provisions set forth in the Interlocal Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the attached Interlocal Agreement between
Grant County Renew and the Wahluke School District Regarding Counseling Services be executed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26' day of April, 2022.
