Re: Request to Change the Veterans Advisory Board Membership Composition
Dear Commissioners,
The Grant County Veterans Advisory Board (VAB) voted unanimously at the last
meeting, March 2, 2022, to request to approval to amend our by-laws to include a representative
of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) on the VAB. Currently, our by-laws
direct that we have 9 members (S from local, veterans service organizations, 3 at -large, and 1
WorkSource representative. We wish to change our composition to include the CVMA and
change the by-laws to reflect such. The composition, if approved, would be a representative from
the following active, nationally recognized, veteran service organizations:
• American Legion Post 28 —Ephrata
• American Legion Post 157 —Electric City
• American Legion Post 183 -Quincy
• American Legion Post 209 —Moses Lake
• VFW Post 24 —Quincy
• CVMA Chapter 11-2 —Ephrata
• WorkSouce
• At -Large
• At -Large
• At -Large
This would organize the VAB with 10 active, community members and the by-laws would be
changed accordingly and reflect such. The Chair would only vote in the event of a tie on any
voting issue.
Your approval on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
