HomeMy WebLinkAboutBoard Action - BOCCMarch 22, 2022 Grant County Commissioners Grant County Grant County Veterans Advisory Board (VAB) P O Box 37 Ephrata WA 98823 (509) 754-2011 Re: Request to Change the Veterans Advisory Board Membership Composition Dear Commissioners, The Grant County Veterans Advisory Board (VAB) voted unanimously at the last meeting, March 2, 2022, to request to approval to amend our by-laws to include a representative of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) on the VAB. Currently, our by-laws direct that we have 9 members (S from local, veterans service organizations, 3 at -large, and 1 WorkSource representative. We wish to change our composition to include the CVMA and change the by-laws to reflect such. The composition, if approved, would be a representative from the following active, nationally recognized, veteran service organizations: • American Legion Post 28 —Ephrata • American Legion Post 157 —Electric City • American Legion Post 183 -Quincy • American Legion Post 209 —Moses Lake • VFW Post 24 —Quincy • CVMA Chapter 11-2 —Ephrata • WorkSouce • At -Large • At -Large • At -Large This would organize the VAB with 10 active, community members and the by-laws would be changed accordingly and reflect such. The Chair would only vote in the event of a tie on any voting issue. Your approval on this matter would be greatly appreciated. ��waed .4, S"m Kenneth A.
