Re: Request to Proceed with Wheeler Road Roof
Dear BOCC,
This year it was budgeted to replace the roof on the Grant County Facility for District Court and
WSU at 1525 -Wheeler Road in Moses Lake, Washington due to the roof being at end of life

in poor condition. Being it was a metal roof, different solutions to were investigated to find the
best for cost and fit the county's needs. The solution that was selected was to fill the metal roof
flutes with insulation board and then go over the top of the first layer with an additional
Y layer to
even the surface out and provide strength. This will then be covered with a TPO membrane that
will provide at least 20 years of service, and will be warrantied as such if properly
� p p y maintained.
The project was put out to bid to MRSC roster members and of those solicited only t
submitted bids. Signature � y wo
g Roof Service LLC was the lowest bid at $126,828.00. This cost does
include sales tax.
Therefore, I am asking the Grant County Board of Commissioners for approval pp to proceed Geed with
this project. The cost for the project, $126,828.00, would beaid from the Facilities and
