CHAPTER 2.04 OF THE GRANT
COUNTY CODE TITLED `BOARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS"
RECITALS:
WHEREAS, the Grant County Board of County Commissioners BOCC has recently
gained significant experience with remote meetings due to the COVID 19andemic• andZl

WHEREAS, The BOCC now believes that the benefit of allowingfor remote attendance
at meetings is beneficial; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, the Grant County Board. of
Commissioners -hereby amends Grant County Code Section 2.04 as follows:
2.04.010 — Meetings

(a) Any member of the ofllch-"Cl Board may attend and participate in all
or part of a regular meeting, special meeting, or executive session by video
conferencing or other form of telephonic communication by means of which the member can
hear what is said at the meeting and be heard by other persons attending the meeting.
Participation may include voting on any matter before the Aoffm

or special meeting. Executive sessions shall not require thephysical presence of any board
member.
(b) This section shall not apply to any record appeal hearing before the board of county
commissioners conducted under the Grant County Code and/or Unified Development Code.

A member who plans to attend a
meeting by video conferencinor telephonic means is requested to provide notice at a regular
meeting prior to the meeting to be attended by 0
video conferencina or telephonic means to ensure
at least one member will be
..-phvsically present.
If such notice is not provided the member shallprovide reasonable notice to the clerk of the
board, who shall be responsible to ensure at least one
member -plans to attend -in, -person.
