The HVAC equipment, AHU 1 and AHU2, were installed in 2007 and are at the end of their life
cycle and experiencing problems. Due to the age and condition of the equipment and
recommendations from HVAC contractors the equipment was budgeted for replacement on this
year's capital budget.
Requests for bids was published to MRSC roster members and one contractor submitted a bid
for the project, Basin Refrigeration and Heating Inc. Their bid was for $39,809.90, tax included.
Therefore, I am asking the Grant County Board of Commissioners for approval to proceed with
this project. The cost for the project would be paid from the Facilities and Maintenance Capital
project account code 132.178.00.9112.594186210 which is funded via the Reet 2. The 2022
capital budget for this project is $48,000.00.
