Sheriff's Office and New Hope Budget Extensions

3:30 p.m. The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider the following budget
extension requests:
• Sheriff's Office Fund# 001, Department #114 in the amount of $15,812.82 for emergency repairs
to the Thunder Jet boat.
• Sheriff's Office Fund# 109, Department #151 in the amount of $50,000.00 to receive grant
monies from a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Program (HIDTA).
• New Hope/Kids Hope Fund #128, Department #170 in the amount of $54,200.00 to receive
Department of Commerce Consolidated Homeless Grant funds (CHG) per Department of
Commerce Contract No. 22-46108-10.
Suzi Fode, Director of New Hope, talked about the Homeless Grant Funds they will be receiving
Ryan Rectenwald, Undersheriff, described the request for the jet boat repairs
Joe Kreite, Chief Deputy, discussed the HIDTA grant monies being received.
A motion was made by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Stone, to close the public
comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance. A motion
was made by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Stone to approve the budget extensions
as presented. The motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance.
