Dear BOCC,
A request to remodel the storage space behind the BOCC Clerks to create an office for the new position
for the Veterans Administration. The scope of the project for Stans Construction includes an additional
doorway being added through the wall into the hallway with the elevator, a new wall being built to split
the storage area that will also have a door in it, drywall, and suspended ceiling modifications to fit the
new wall. Facilities and Maintenance will paint the walls, finish the doors, do the electrical and data
cabling, and schedule floor work if needed.
The estmated cost of the construction portion of this project is estimated to be $12,700, $13766.80 with
tax.
The costs of this project would be funded from Reet 1 capital funds for Interior Improvements account
number 126.168.00.9112.594186210. This fund has a balance of $40,000.
Therefore, I am requesting permission from the Grant County Board of Commissioners to proceed with
this project.
