The retainage for the Ag building project was not paid last year and held over the budget year
due to other delays and not paid until now. The Budget extension for that retainage was not
carried over in this year's budget, leaving us without the budgeted funds this year to pay the
retainage which is due to the Contractor.
This year's capital budget contains a request in the 2022 budget for matching funds for the next
MUSCO lighting project at the fairgrounds. With the boards' permission, I would like to pay the
retainage for the Ag building project amounting to $4,499.05 with the remaining funds from the
MUSCO lighting project from this year and carry over the remaining funds asking Accounting to
apply that remaining amount towards the matching request for the next project in next years
budget.
With the Boards approval, we will pay the retainage and carry over the remaining funds as
follows;
The remaining funds from MUSCO lighting are $69,383.08
Retainage amount for Stans Construction, $4,499.05
Amount to be carried over and applied towards the next MUSCO lighting project. $64,884.03
