MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2021 The Grant County Commissioners session began at 8:30 a.m. with all Commissioners in attendance. 8:30 a.m. — 8:45 a.m. 2022 Grant County Preliminary Budget Adoption The Commissioners met in an Open Public Meeting to sign a resolution (No. 21 -113 -CC) and adopt a preliminary budget for fiscal year 2022, and set the meeting date for consideration of the final budget, make tax levies, adopt the Capital Facilities Plan on December 6, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. Madeline Prentice, Chief Accountant, stated the preliminary budget total amount is $194,838,017.00; the current expense portion is $52.,318,.564.00. A motion was made by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Stone, to adopt the preliminary budget as presented. (Approved) 3:15 p.m. — 4:00 p.m. 2022 Budget Discussion Meeting WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2021 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. D Stone, LEOFF — I Disability Board Meeting Page 6 of 7 Grant County Commissioners Minutes Week of November 8, 2021 11:00 a.m. —11:30 a.m. Open Record Public Hearing, Capital Facilities Plan Amendment and Budget Extension for New Jail Property (continued from October 19, 2021) The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider a Capital Facilities Plan Amendment and Budget Extension for New Jail Property (Ephrata Racetrack). This original hearing was held October 19, 2021 but was continued to this date to gather further information. Tom Gaines, Central Services Director to the Capital Facilities Plan Appendices and a concurrent budget amendment/extension for the acquisition of certain real property. The total purchase price for all three properties is $785.,000.00 plus associated closing and filing fees (if any). Damien Hooper, Director of Development Services stated the Capital Facilities Amendment totals approximately 86.90 acres and include Parcel Nos. 16-0866-002, 16-0866-003, and 16- 0853-000. The subject properties are located just outside of Ephrata at the corner of Road B.3 NW and SR 282 West (Ephrata Racetrack). There was clarification requested on the fund being used for the budget extension. The funding is coming from Fund #311 which is fed by the Proposition 1, New Jail Tax. A motion was made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to close the public comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously.
