A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE RESOLUTION No. 22- �`� � -CC
GRANT COUNTY DEVELOPMENT
SERVICES LAND USE
APPLICATION AND PERMIT FEE
SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Board of County Commissioners for Grant
County to implement reasonable land use application fees in order to maintain current
service levels and which are consistent with other jurisdictions; and,
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Board of County Commissioners for Grant
County that users of the Development Services Department's planning services bare a
reasonable share of the costs associated with those services rather than rely upon the
citizenry of the County to subsidize these costs; and,
WHEREAS, Development Services Staff have conducted a fee schedule survey
of neighboring and similar Eastern Washington Counties; and,
WHEREAS, when compared to the survey, the Board of County Commissioners
for Grant County have determined that the attached fee schedule generally represents a
reasonable cost for land use applications in Grant County; and,
WHEREAS, the fee for an address application was last updated in 2014
(Resolution No. 14 -031 -CC; and,
WHEREAS, Land Use Application and Permit fees were last updated in 2009
(Resolution No. 09 -037 -CC); and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners for Grant County finds that
moderate permit fee increases over time are preferrable to large, periodic fee increases;
and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners for Grant County modify the
attached fee schedule to include an annual fee update based on the Consumer Price Index
12 -Month Change established in December annually to be effective on or about January I
of each year; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners for Grant County conducted an
open record public hearing on February 15, 2022 to consider the attached fee schedule.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, THAT the Board of
County Commissioners for Grant County, Washington hereby adopt by this resolution a
new Fee Schedule for Grant County Development Services Land Use Applications and
Permits as identified in Attachment A.
EFFECTIVE DATE: March 1, 2022

Custom Map Request: Used for altered map products, creating new data for display, creation
of new maps, and other similar requests.
