Re: Request to Purchase Scanner
Commissioners,,
The Grant County BOE is requesting to purchase a scanner that has been recommended by TS.
The scanner is necessary due to the volume of scanning to be accomplished with the
automation of the BOE program and will additionally assist in the ongoing scanning project
within the Commissioner's Office. The scanner being recommended has been endorsed by the
BOE Chair, Jim Brakebill and from Barbara Vasquez, Clerk of the Board.
Funding would come from the approved 2022 BOE budget by transferring funds internally,
utilizing unused funds from the 001.126.00.0000.514241201 — Temporary Help Budget Line.
This fund has historically used very minimal funds ($3,100 in 2021, $6,900 in 2020, and $2,625
in 2019) and we anticipate using less than 30% of the 2022 budget of $14,770 for temporary
help (board wages).
Purchase of the recommended product would be made through GCTS and it will be on the
Quadrennial Replacement Plan.
