SUBJECT: REVISED - Recommendation of 2022 LTAC Grant Funding Disbursement
The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) reconvened via email on December 21 and
22, 2021 at the direction of the Grant County Commissioners to reconsider 2022 LTAC
Applications. The LTAC members that were involved were actively appointed and
included:
• Rob Jones, County Commissioner, Chair
• Marilyn Meseberg, Mar Don Resort, Rate Payer
• Goldye Moyer, Sun Lakes Resort, Rate Payer
• Lori Valdez, Moses Lake Spring Festival, Recipient
• Kevin Danby, Ephrata Sage -IV -Sun Festival, Recipient
• Harriet Weber, Quincy Historical Society, Recipient
*The LTAC presently has one position vacant (rate payer) due to a recent resignation.
The LTAC reviewed applications that were previously submitted and that met the
minimum qualifications. All deliberations, motions and voting were conducted via email
and is documented.
In accordance with RCW 67.28.1816 (2)(b)(ii), it is required that the municipality's
legislative body, the BOCC, make the final determination. The municipality may choose
only recipients from the list of candidates and recommended amounts provided by the
local lodging tax advisory committee. Below is the recommendation of the LTAC:

Total amount recommended to be funded is: $ 754,000.
This would leave approximately $246,000 potentially available (based on financial
projections) to be utilized later. The LTAC discussed the idea of recommending to the
BOCC of offering a second round of LTAC grants in mid-April 2022.
On behalf of the LTAC, please accept this recommendation for the 2022 LTAC Grant
Funding.
