Strategic Infrastructure Project - SIP No. 2020-01
Dear Janice:
This correspondence is to request a second extension on the deadline for completion of the
Strategic Infrastructure Project Recommendation SIP No. 2020-01 for the City of Soap Lake's
Division Street South Sewer Main Extension project from February 10, 2022 to November 10,
2022.
The City awarded the construction contract to complete the project in December of 2021, and the
contractor has tentatively scheduled the completion of this work by April 2022. To accommodate
the contractors schedule with a contingency for weather or pandemic delays, and to provide City
Administration time to process payment and reimbursement, the City will not be ready to certify
the project by the current expiration date of the award. A nine month extension of the deadline
should allow the City to complete and process the paperwork for the project.
