WHEREAS, the follwAing Grant County funds do not have an adequate level of budget
appropriation to make the following expenditures:
Sheriff's Office in the amount of $216,277.79 to purchase a Full Body Scanner and Mail
Scanner for use in Grant County correctional facilities Oail scanners). Funding will come from
Law and Justice Funds and transfers ftorn INET Investigations and Jail Concessions accounts.
Clerk's Office in the amount of $6,201.94 to receive reirnbursernent funds from the
Administrative Office of the Courts for overtime costs associated with the implementation of
the new statewide case management system - Odyssey.
WHERE AS, these additional budget expenditures were not anticipated when preparing
the 2018 budget; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 36.40.140 a public hearing, must be held to
authorize additional budget appropriations.
WHERE' AS, on the 23rd day of October, 2018 at 3:00 p.m., a public hearing was held in
the Grant County Commissioners' Hearing Room.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, that a
budget appropriation in the total amount of $222,479.73 to be allocated to the 2018 budget
according to the following schedule of categories and items:
