RESOLUTION DECLARING PERSONAL RESOLUTION No. 18- 0A -CC
PROPERTY SURPLUS FOR DISPOSITION
WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36.34.010, the Grant County Board of County Commissioners
has the authority to decide whether real or personal property owned by the county is surplus to the needs
of the county; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Sheriffs Office owns a 2007 Chevrolet C1 Pickup (VIN#
1GCGK13U77F134900) and a 1997 Chevrolet G3 Van (VIN# 1GBHG31FOV1078285); and
WHEREAS, Grant County Search and Rescue has been using these vehicles for a number of years and
would like to continue to do so; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Sheriffs Office has determined these items are no longer of use
to the Sheriff's Office and/or the cost of repairs is prohibitive; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Sheriffs Office has requested that the Grant County Board of
County Commissioners declare these vehicles to be surplus to the needs of the county; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the declaration of these vehicles as surplus property, it is the intent of
the Sheriffs Office to relinquish ownership to the Search and Rescue Team.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the Board of County
Commissioners declare as surplus the above named vehicles with the intent to transfer ownership to
Search and Rescue.
