Commissioner Taylor was out and excused. 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Elected Official Roundtable 9:00 a.m. – 9:20 a.m. J Hammond, ASC Update and Misc BOCC Action (Items 1 through 7) A motion was made by Commissioner Carter, seconded by Commissioner Stevens, to approve items 1 through 5 and 7 on the agenda as presented. The Commissioners voted to hold item 6 until August 27, 2018. The motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance. 1. Possible vouchers for insurance, legal services, grant administration, etc. (Approved) _ 2.Wasington State Department of Social & Health Services (DSHS) Contract Amendment, (WorkFirst On -Site Family Violence Services) No. 1763-15848, Amendment No. 1,_betweenGrant— County, by and through its New Hope Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services and DSHS' Economic Services Administration, Division of Community Services. Funding increase is in the amount of $31,000.00 with a term of July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019. (Approved) 3. Reimbursement Request #12 on Washington State Department of Commerce on Consolidated Homeless Grant, (CHG) No. 17-46108-10, administered through the Grant County Housing Authority, in the amount of $28,370.28. (Approved) 4. Washington State Department of Commerce, Community Services and Housing Division, Office of Crime Victims Advocacy, Children's Advocacy Center Child Centered Services VOCA Initiative, Grant Contract No. 19-31219-401, with Grant County, by and through New Hope Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Services. Grant is for $92,256.00 with a term of July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019. (Approved) 5. Contractor Information Update Form for DVR Contract; between Grant County, by and through its Grant Integrated Services and Washington State Department of Social & Health Services (DSHS). (Approved) 6. Grant County 2018 Statement, Moses Lake Irrigation & Rehabilitation District tax in the amount of $9,034.39 (amount to be paid to Grant County Treasurer). (The Commissioners voted to hold this item until August 27, 2018) 7. Washington State Department of Commerce, Community Services and Housing Division, Office of Crime Victims Advocacy, SFY 2019 Language Bank Grant Program, Grant Contract No. F17- 31219-705, with Grant County, by and through New Hope Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Services. Grant is for $5,000.00 with a term of July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019. Washington State Department of Commerce, Community Services and Housing Division, Office of Crime Victims_Advocacy, Core -and -Specialized Sexual -Assault Services-SFY 2019,' Grant -Contract -No. 19=31310- 165, with Grant County, by and through New Hope Domestic Violence & Sexual assault Services. Commissioner Taylor was out and excused. 8:45 a.m.-8:55 a.m. Open Record Public Hearing, Central Services Budget Extensions The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider a budget extension request from Central Services in the amount of $22,049.45 for the following: • Quality Paving change order in the amount of $8,100.00 for the repairs of parking lot "C" and "G"• • Cooling valve replacement in the amount of $8,949.45 for the air handling unit at the Law and Justice Bldg; • Micro processing control board in the amount of $5,000.00 for the chiller at the Law and Justice Bldg. Tom Gaines, Director of Central Services, discussed his request stating funding is being requested from current expense. Page 3 of 6 Grant County Commissioners Minutes Week of July 9, 2018 Darryl Pheasant, Treasurer, asked if REET 126 funds could be used instead of Current Expense funds or Law and Justice Funds, Commissioner Stevens stated the Board can approve the budget extension with the stipulation of finding out if REET 1 or Law and Justice Funds could be used. Commissioner Carter moved to close the public comment portion of the hearing. Commissioner Stevens seconded and the motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance. Commissioner Carter moved to approve the budget extension but using REST 1 or Law and Justice Funds instead of Current Expense funds, if possible. Commissioner Stevens seconded and the motion passed with 2 Commissioners in attendance. The hearing adjourned. (It was determined that REET 1 funds could be used: Fund #126, Department #168.
