HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of July 3,1989 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session. The Commissioners were notified by Elvin Kulp of the Extension Office that he would retire December 31,1989. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Determin- ation of Non -Significance for the construction and operation of a Sodium Chlorate Plant by the Kema Nord Company. The Commissioners signed the Payroll Warrants list for the Month of June, #34848 thru 35041. The Commissioners set for Public Hearing an Admissions Tax Ordinance. The Public Hearing will be held July 18,1989 at 1:30 p.m. The Commissioners made a decision to accept the R.W.Beck proposal for Regional Local Hazardous Waste Management Plan for Moderate Risk Waste. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign an Agreement for Permanent Release of Water Allotment with the South Columbia Basin Irrigation District regarding the westerly forty feet of Special Del- ivery Area 44, Irrigation Block 253. The Commissioners met with various Elected Officials and Department Heads regarding matters of mutual concern. The Commissioners met with Menke and Jackson, County Labor Negotiators regarding the status of negotiations on the contracts with the Teamsters Union.
