HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of July 17,1989 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session. The Commissioners approved the salary of Shauna L. Webb of the Clerks Office at $4.00 per hour. The Commissioners approved out of State travel for Joan Hayes of the Grant County Mental Health and Family Service Center, effect- ive July 13-17,1989. The Commissioners signed a contract with the Town of Warden to provide District Court judicial services. The contract was returned to Town of Warden for their signatures. The Commissioners received signed copies of Contract #1445- 74458,#1440-74175,#3820-72601(2),and #3800-73856 with the DSHS. The Commissioners received a summons and complaint in American Telephone and Telegraph Company, et al vs Department of Revenue,et al. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. The Commissioners met with various Elected Officials and. Depart- ment heads regarding matters of mutual concern. As there was no further business the session was continued until July 18,1989. July 18,1989 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commis- sioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding Supplemental Agreement -Wilson CReek R/R Signals, Damage Claims and Personnel matters. The Commissioners notified Michael A. Murray, Public Works Director of salary increases for several Public Works Employees. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Jeri Hinen of the Prosecutors Office to the salary for a Secretary IV when working in the superior court criminal division. The Commissioners approved the salary of Jessie N. Overman of the Prosecuting Attorneys Office at $6.00 per hour effective June 30,1989. The Commissioners were notified of the resignation of Stephen Greer of the Prosecuting Attorney's Office. Stan Moore will fill in on a professional services contract until a replacement is available at $2871 per month. A continuation of the Public Meeting on the Denton Plat was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by Commissioner Goodwin to refer the matter back to the Planning Commission. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by Com- missioner Chandler that Resolution Number 89 -67 -CC and 89 -68 -CC relating to the establishment of new funds to be named Auditor's Operation and Maintenance Fund #124,Dept.#166 and Auditor's Cen- tennial Document Preservation and Modernization Agency Deposit Account(ACDP & MADA) Fund #645, Dept.#002 be passed. The motion. carried. A Public Hearing was held regarding the proposed admission tax ordinance and after allowing public input a motion was made by Com- missioner Goodwin and seconded by Commissioner Chandler that Resolu- tion 89 -69 -CC, Ordinance 89 -69 -CC regarding the admission tax be passed with the removal of the portion of 3.60.040 regarding the necessity of pre-printed tickets. The motion carried. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 7/14/89 in the total. amount of $177,054.06.
