HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of September 25,1989 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Notice of Sep- aration or Work Interruption of Kathleen A. Clough of the Mental Health Department effective September 8,1989. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Notice of Sep- aration or Work Interruption of Kaye H. Baumgartner of the Mental Health Department effective September 11,1989. The Commissioners approved the beginning salary of Victoriano Garza of the Sheriff Department at $1,131 per month. The Commissioners approved the request for transfer of the Grant County Museum in the amount of $1,714. The Commissioners received notification that Felix Ramon has resigned from the Grant County Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Boarded effective August 14,1989. The Commissioners sent a letter to Huck Goodrich regarding the Pelican Point No. 2 road completion. The Commissioners received a summons and complaint from Alice L. Goehring. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. A Public Meeting was held regarding the Idano Ranch Short Plat. A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin, seconded by Commissioner Chandler that the matter be set for Public Hearing. The motion carried. Public Hearing will be held October 9,1989 at 2:00 p.m. A Public Meeting was held regarding the Idano Ranch Second Addition Short Plat. A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin, seconded by Com- missioner Chandler that the matter be set for Public Hearing. The motion carried. Public Hearing will be held October 9,1989 at 2:30 p.m. A Public Meeting was held regarding the Sparks/Sircin Zone Change request. A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin, seconded by Commis- sioner Chandler that the matter be set for Public Hearing. The motion carried. Public Hearing will be held October 9,1989 at 3:00 p.m. A Public Meeting was held regarding the time extension on the Sun Canyon Resort Planned Unit Development. A motion was made by Com- missioner Chandler, seconded by Commissioner Goodwin that the extension be granted. The motion carried. The Commissioners met with various elected officials and department heads regarding matters of mutual concern. As there was no further business the session was continued until September 26,1989. September 26,1989 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding Crushing Agreements-WSDOT, Letter on Pelican Point No. 2, Department Operations(1990). The Commissioners received a signed copy of the professional services agreement for preparation of the Regional Local Hazardous Waste Plan for Grant, Adams, and Lincoln Counties. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal for the month of September in the amount of $160,843.75. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Vouchers Approval #9-1 thru 9-5 in the total amount of $12,224.35. The Commissioners approved out of state travel for the Grant County Mental Health Clinical Director to attend a workshop in Oregon. Chairman Chamberlain was.'authorized to sign the Transfer to the Health District, Grant County's third quarter payment in the amount of $30,439.75. The Commissioners notified the Auditors Office that Junene M. Smith, Switchboard Operator will be moved to full salary effective October 1,1989. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to request Larry Kesson and Gus Smith to serve on the Citizens Proponent Committee.
