HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of December 4,1989 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Glenn Chamberlain. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceeding session. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Notice of Sep- aration or Work Interruption of John H. Wilson of the Grant County Alcohol and Drug Center effective November 30,1989. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Joy Wheeler of the Sheriff Department to $1,331 per month effective December. 1,1989. The Commissioners approved the request for transfer in the amount of $5360 requested by Alcohol and Drug Center. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Kimberly Allen of the Clerks Office effective November 1,1989 to S1,345.00 per month. The Commissioners received notice from Sheriff Felix Ramon that he intended to resign as Sheriff. They drafted a letter to the Sheriff regarding his resignation. Chairman Chamberlain was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation or Work Interruption for Steven Edward Cramer of the Mental Health Department effective November 24,1989. The Commissioners approved the following Petitions for Property Tax Refund: #89-31 Jose Garza Amount $359.73 #89-32 Jose Garza $369.50 #89-33 Dean/Evelyn Benson $170.82 The Commissioners drafted a letter to the District Court Judges regarding the use of Judge Pro -tem. They also requested the Judges to appoint one Judge as the presiding Judge. A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Chandler and seconded by Commissioner Goodwin that Resolution Number 89- 118 -CC setting land classifications and assessments for the 1990 Noxious Weed Control Board budget be passed. The motion carried. A Public Hearing was held regarding the 1990 budget for Grant County. A motion was made by Commissioner Goodwin and seconded by Com- missioner Chandler that the matter be continued until such time as the final budget figures are available. The motion carried. The Commissioners met with various Elected Officials and Depart- ment Heads regarding matters of mutual concern. As there was no further business the session was continued until December 5,1989. December 5,1989 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m, with all of the Commis- sioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding Road Vacation Petition -Roads & Alleys in portion of Plat of New Town of Trinidao, Road Vacation Petition -Road in Desert Aire Division A, 1990 Vehicle Purchases, Annual Program, Budgets & Etc. The Commisisoners approved the salary of Ray Audet of the Building Department at $1,588 per month effective December 1,1989. The Commissioners took action to re -appoint the following to the Open Space Advisory Committee: Raymond Sieverkropp, Dick Heathman, Paul Kirai, Jerry Fox, George Turner, Ken Goodrich, Olaf Odegaard, C. Ed Williamson, Robert Holloway, Paul Lauzier. The Commissioners took action to approve the appointment of the following to the Grant County Fair: Earl Hubsmith, Jerry Cerenzia, Tom Dagnon, Mick Hansen, Larry Buckley, Deborah Moore, John Ledgerwood, Harold Beeman, Jerry Fox, Kathy Skone, Jean Kelley, Doug Massey, Clifford Wolfe, Gary R:ibail, Ivan Parker. The Commissioners signed the Payroll Journal Warrants #36898 through #37244 . As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers filed in the Auditors Office 12/5/89 in the total amount of $135,832.02. The Commissioners met with Bill Bailey, Fair Manager regarding the Fair Budget. As there was no further business the session was adjourned until December 11,1989.
