RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
APPLICATION TO IAC
RESOLUTION NUMBER 89 -119 -CC
A resolution authorizing the submittal of an application to the Interagency
Committee for Outdoor Recreation for funding assistance for an Outdoor Recreation
Project from funds available through the Nonhighway and Off -Road Vehicle (NOVA)
program as provided by RCW 45.09.
Whereas, under the provisions of the Off -Road and Nonhighway Vehicle Act, state
funding assistance has been authorized and made available to aid in financing
of Education and Enforcement programs, ORV Coordination positions,. -arid Maintance
and Operation of ORV facilities for ORV and and Nonhighway Road purposes;
Whereas, the County Commissioners of Grant County consider it in the best public
interest to provide ORV education, enforcement, coordination, and maintance and
operation of ORV facitlities within Grant County;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the County Commissioners of Grant County,
Washington,
1 That the Sheriff be authorized to make formal application to the Interagency
Committee for Outdoor Recreation for fund assistance,
2 That any fund assistance so received be used in the provision of ORV programs
in Grant County, Washington,
3 That any property acquired with financial aid through the Interagency
Committee for Outdoor Recreation be placed in use for ORV and/or non -
highway road outdoor recreation programs, and management and disposal of
such property will follow guidelines set fourth in the NOVA Program Education
and Enforcement manual 1989, and
4 That this resolution become part of a formal application to the Interagency
Carimittee for Outdoor Recreation.
