Week of May 31,1993
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. on
June 1, 1993 by Chairman Helen Fancher. All of the Commissioners were in attendance
with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceding session as written.
The Commissioners approved the Request for Transfer of the courthouse Facilities
Department in the amount of $3,400.
The Commissioners approved the request that Deputy Prosecutor Brett W. Hill
be paid at 100 percent of the Deputy I salary beginning June 1,1993.
The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Lyn Davis and Christal Boyd
of the Mental Health Department.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Jennifer Stussy of the Auditors Office
at 90 percent of control point effective June 8,1993.
The Commissioners approve the termination pay for Gerald Entzel of the Sheriff's
Department as discussed with the Auditor.
The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff to transfer $16,100 from
the Current Expense Fund to the ATV fund.
The Commissioners appointed Gary Chandler to a position on the Grant County
Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Board.
The Commissioners appointed Faith Anderson to a position on the Grant County
Fire Protection District No. 7 Board.
The Commissioners approved the request for the transfer from Current Expense
to Growth Management funds the amount of $32,076 per resolution Number 93 -16 -CC.
Chairman Fancher was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation or Work
Interruption of Matt Horn of the Courthouse Facilities Department effective June 30,1993.
The Commissioners signed the payroll warrants list for the month of May 1993.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Banks Lake 1 st
Addition, Pit Agreement -Jim and Mary Thomsen, Resolutions -Notice of Hearing(Road
Establishments, Marine View Area), Notice of Hearing (Amending 1993-98 and adopting
1994-1999 Six Year Road Programs.
The Commissioners signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Jim and Mary
Thomsen regarding a quarry and stockpile site.
The Commissioners received a notice of completion of Bridge No. 116 project by
North Central Construction in conformance with contract specifications.
The Commissioners signed an Authorization to Call for Bids June 29,1993 at 10:30
a.m. regarding Bridge #391, Q -SW and Bridge #392, Q -SW.
A motion was made by Commissioner Winzler, seconded by Commissioner Snead
that Resolution Number 93 -52 -CC setting a Public Hearing for June 22,1993 at 11:00
a.m. in the matter of amending the 1993-98 comprehensive six year transportation
improvement program and adopting a comprehensive six year transportation
improvement program for the 1994-99 years be passed. The motion carried.
A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Winzler
that Resolution Number 93 -53 --CC setting a Public Hearing for June 29,1993 at 10:00
a.m. regarding the matter of establishing certain county roads be passed. The motion
carried.
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund voucher approval list
#5-1 through 5-6 in the total amount of $123,919.11.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those
vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 5/28/93 in the total amount of
$126,155.71.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those
vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 6/1/93 in the total amount of
$88,732.65.
A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Snead,
seconded by Commissioner Winzler that Resolution Number 93 -54 -CC authorizing an
appropriation and expenditure of funds in the Grant County Building/ Fire Marshal
Department in the amount of $34,447 be passed. The motion carried.
A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Snead,
seconded by Commissioner Winzler that Resolution Number 93 -55 -CC authorizing an
appropriation and expenditure of funds in the Admissions Tax Fund #125, Department
#167 in the amount of $5,754 be passed. The motion carried.
A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Snead,
seconded by Commissioner Winzler that Resolution Number 93 -56 -CC authorizing an
appropriation and expenditure of funds in the Current Expense Fund, Misc. General
Government Department #125 in the amount of $2,557 be passed. The motion carried.
A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Snead,
seconded by Commissioner Winzler that Resolution Number 93 -57 -CC authorizing an
appropriation and expenditure of funds in the Grant County Fair Fund #116, Department
#158 in the total amount of $5,754 be passed. The motion carried.
The Commissioners held a continuation of Public Meeting on the Diamond Point
Waterfront Paradise Planned Unit Development and Preliminary Plat proposal. A motion
was made by Commissioner Winzler, seconded by Commissioner Snead that the matter
be continued until 1:30 p.m. on June 22,1993 at the request of the developer. The
motion carried.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned until June 7,1993.
