WHEREAS, the Grant County Facilities and Maintenance Office requires a streamlined, �
,I
browser-based HVAC management system to manage and affect HVAC systems with all �
buildings maintained by the Facilities Department; and i
i
WHEREAS, such a streamlined system will result in increased efficiency; and
I
WHEREAS, such a streamlined system will shorten the time to resolve HVAC issues '
and provide for better control of building environments; and
WHEREAS, the current software system (where it exists) does not provide for full
integration and efficiency without prohibitively costly upgrades and modifications and training
in more than a single system; and
WHEREAS, the Automated Logic Software through Standard Plumbing and Heating is i
a custom-built, licensed software and information system that only Automated Logic provides �
through Standard Plumbing and Heating Corporation; and �
i
WHEREAS, Standard Plumbing and Heating is clearly and legitimately limited to a i
single source of supply; and �
WHEREAS, Automated Logic is the sole provider of this software system and thus �'�,
subject to a waiver of the competitive bidding requirement under RCW 39.04.280. ;
i
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Grant County �
Commissioners that the bidding requirements be, and hereby are, waived pursuant to RCW i
39.04.280 and that Standard Hearing and Plumbing be, and is hereby authorized as the sole �
source vendor for this sole source purchase. �
