HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of July 6,1993 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Helen Fancher. Commissioner Snead was in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners appointed Betty Davis as a member of the Grant County Tourism Commission to replace Jeanne Sanford. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Fancher that Resolution Number 93 -80 -CC designating Grant County Treasurer as PTBAA Treasurer and the Grant county Auditor as PTBAA Auditor be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners approved the request by the County Auditor for the purchase of file cabinets from the Auditors O & M Capital Outlay Budget. The Commissioners received a summons and complaint from Alaska Airlines, Inc., et al. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. Chairman Fancher was authorized to sign the disapproval of the Liquor License Application of Jake's R.V. since the applicant does not have all SEPA determinations, and environmental reviews completed at this time. The Commissioners approved the request by the Grant County Fair for the payment of $5,377.67 for the expenses of the Big Well Project. The Commissioners signed an agreement with the Department of Natural Resources regarding the ORV area. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Fancher that Resolution Number 93 -81 -CC authorizing Grant County Sheriff to apply to IAC for ORV funds be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Bid Award Recommendation -Bridge No# 391 and #392, Bid Authorization -3600 Gallon Water Tank, RTPO Representative. The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids for one 3600 gallon water tank. Bid opening to be July 20,1993 at 10:00 a.m. The Commissioners received certification from the Public Works Director that Bridge #116, Long Lake project was built in accordance with the plans and specifications, and that all materials incorporated into the work met the contract specifications. The Commissioners received certification from the Public Works Director that the Adams Road project was built in accordance with the plans and specifications and that all materials incorporated into the work met the contract specifications. The Commissioners approved the Public Works recommendation that Bridge #391 and Bridge #392 contracts be awarded to Tommer Construction in the amount of $369,869.19. A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Fancher that Resolution Number 93 -82 -CC authorizing an appropriation and expenditure of funds in the Current Expense Fund #001, Misc. General Government Department #125 in the amount of $10,000 be passed. The motion carried. A Public Hearing was held regarding the John Martinez zone change and preliminary plat request from Agriculture to Suburban -Agriculture. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Fancher to approve the zone change and Preliminary Plat on conditions of water availability, and that the Road be brought up to County Standards. The motion carried. The Commissioners signed the June payroll warrants list. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in" rhelist filed in the Auditors Office 6/30/93 in the total amount of $109,293.70. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 7/6/93 in the total amount of $138,036.61.
