Week of August 9,1993
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by
Chairman Helen Fancher. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk
of the Board.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes from the preceding session
as written.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Christine Mosher of the Juvenile
Probation Department at 90% of full pay for the position of Chemical Dependency
Treatment Specialist.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Raynee Miller of the Juvenile Probation
Department at 80% of full pay for the position of Intensive Supervision Parole Specialist.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Kathy Smith as a part time Dispatcher
at the salary of $4.25 per hour for the first 30 days, effective September 1,1993 she will
be elevated to $7.00 per hour.
The Commissioners approved the salary of Brenda M. Carriere as a part time
Dispatcher at the salary of $4.25 per hour for the first 30 days, effective September
1,1993 she will be elevated to $7.00 per hour.
The Commissioners set a Public Meeting for August 30,1993 at 1:30 regarding the
Pheasucks Assoc. and Larry Morgan zone change request.
The Commissioners received a copy of a Quitclaim Deed and Release, from the
Bureau of Reclamation in S16,T19N.,R28E.W.M.(Land Disposal).
As there was no further business the session was continued until August 10,1993
at 9:00 a.m.
August 10,1993
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in
attendance with the Clerk of the Board.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Department regarding contracts
with Ed -Ka Manufacturing, Inc., Norstar Industries,inc. and other matters of mutual
concern.
The Commissioners signed a Contract with ED -KA Manufacturing, Inc. for the
purchase of one Body Sander.
The Commissioners signed a Contract with ED -KA Manufacturing, Inc. for the
purchase of six Snow Plows.
The Commissioners signed a Contract with Norstar Industries,lnc. for the
purchase of one Water Tank.
The Commissioners notified the Sheriff that beginning January 1,1994 the Capital
Outlay items up to $550 will be classified as office and operating supplies or small tools
and minor equipment.
The Commissioners received a signed copy of Contract Number 3015-93904
between the Department of Social and Health Services and Grant County DDD.
The Commissioners signed the Findings, conclusions and final decision of the
Grant County Commissioners regarding the Larry Myrick, et ux, et al zone change and
Planned Unit Development.
The Commissioners received a signed copy of Contract 2305 9245(1) between
DSHS and Directions in Community Living.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those
vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 8/9/93 in the total amount of
$377,931.00
Commissioner Fancher was authorized to sign the agreement between Grant
County Maintenance Department and A.A. Contractors, Inc. for Asbestos Abatement at
the Grant County Mental Health Center.
The Commissioners met with representatives from the City of Quincy regarding
their Urban Growth Boundary proposals.
As there was no further business the session was adjourned until August 16,1993.
