HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of September 20,1993 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Helen Fancher. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff Department to purchase items in the amount of $2650 from Law and Justice Funds. The Commissioners signed the Request for Transfer of funds in the Library Fund in the amount of $1,425. The Commissioners received a request to postpone the Step Two hearing for Shirley Keenan on September 31,1993. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. The Commissioners received notification from the Teamsters Union that Wanda B. Stratton and Maureen Haker will no longer be members of the Union effective December 31,1993. The Commissioners received a notice of Satisfaction of Judgement on the Charles A. Perkins, et ux vs Grant County matter. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 93 -110 -CC in the matter of changing the zoning from Agriculture to Suburban -Agriculture in a portion of S27,T20N.,R27 E.W.M. requested by Frank H. Sparks be passed. The motion carried. As there was no further business the session was continued until September 21,1993. September 21,1993 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners held a Bid Opening regarding the Grant County Fair surplus Gazebo. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that the matter be referred to the Fair Board for their decision. The motion carried. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Jim Thomsen - Road '13' NW, Frontage Road, 'A' NW, SWAC Member, and Education Reimbursement. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 93 -111 -CC setting a Public Hearing for October 4,1993 at 1:00 p.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Current expense Fund #001, Operating Transfers -Out, Department #142 in the amount of $2,920 be passed. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 93 -112 -CC setting a Public Hearing for October 4,1993 at 1:00 p.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds in the Law Library Fund #110, Department #152 in the amount of $2,920 be passed. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 93 -113 -CC setting a Public Hearing for October 4,1993 at 1:00 p.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds in the Current Expense Fund #001, Juvenile Probation Department #117 in the amount of $6,547 be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff Department for the purchase of seven cellular phones in the amount of $1763.86 from Law and Justice Funds. The Commissioners approved the salary of Sheila Poe of the Juvenile Probation Department at 90 percent of the pay level for that position. Chairman Fancher was authorized to sign the Determination of Non -significance regarding the zone change from Agriculture to Suburban (S-2) of 8.24 acres requested by Ronald D. Hindman. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 9/20/93 in the total amount of $296,116.65. Chairman Fancher was authorized to sign the Consultant Services Contract with RAM Communications Consultants, Inc. for MSAG work.
