HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of October 18,1993 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Helen Fancher. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff's Department for the amount of $2,253 from E-9-1-1 funds for costs associated with a phone line between Ephrata and Fire District 12-s transmitter in Wilson Creek to operate the Fire District's paging and radio traffic. Chairman Fancher was authorized to sign the Notice of Separation or Work Interruption of Kenn Hamm of the Planning Department, effective November 4,1993. The Commissioners approved the salary of Shelly Parr Heilman of the Civil Service Commission at $7.00 per hour effective October 4,1993. The Commissioners received the following items from the Planning Commission: Chris Matheson, Northridge Phase 2 Preliminary Plat application set for Public Meeting November 1,1993 at 1:30 p.m. Ron Gear, proposed Preliminary Plat application set for Public Meeting November 1, 1993 at 2:30 p.m. Ronald D. Hindman, zone change request, set for Public Hearing November 8,1993 at 1:30 p.m. Chairman Fancher was authorized to sign the Determination of Non -significance for the construction of a warehouse and processing building by Western Polymer Corporation. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 93 -125 -CC setting a public hearing for November 15,1993 at 1:30 p.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Current Expense Fund, Courthouse Facilities Department in the amount of $10,536 be passed. The motion carried. A Public Hearing was held regarding the proposed zone change request by Jean Pool from Commercial Freeway Service to General Commercial on 11.93 acres located in a portion of S29,T19N.,1124E.W.M. near George. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that the zone change be denied as Mrs. Pool has withdrawn her request for a zone change. The motion carried. As there was no further business the session was continued until October 19,1993. October 19,1993 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding crushing site/ Fairgrounds, 1994 budget requests, and Marine View road maintenance. The Commissioners approved the request by the Prosecuting Attorney for the amount of $2,580 plus tax from the law and justice funds for the purchase of the West CD-ROM Library. The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff for the amount of $1,020.18 for a paper shredding machine and $1,383.71 for microfilm rollers from the law and justice funds. The Commissioners authorized the Request for Transfer of funds in the Cooperative Extension budget in the amount of $2,800. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 10/18/93 in the total amount of $335,047.08.
