RESOLUTION NUMBER 94- 3 -CC
In the Matter of Election
Board Officials, to
establish wage and hour
pay rates.
WHEREAS, the passage of ESHB 1393, Chapter 309 in the 1993 Regular Session
Laws, amending RCW 49.46.020, will raise the State's minimum wage to $4.90 per hour
on January 1,1994, and
WHEREAS, RCW 29.45.120 states that fees of officers of election be not less than
the minimum hourly wage per hour as provided under RCW 49.46.020, the exact amount
to be fixed by the respective Boards of County Commissioners for each county, and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Commissioners have agreed to pay both the
employers and employees portions of the Social Security for the Election Board Officials,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; that Election Board Officials wage rate will
be set at $5.31 per hour, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution supersedes Resolution Number 89 -4 -CC
dated the 9th day of January, 1989.

WHEREAS, the passage of will ra:ise the state's

WHEREAS, it has been interpreted that Election Board Officials come
within the provisions of said law,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; that Election Board Officials will
henceforth be paid in accordance with the Federal. wage and hour law as
to minimum wages, which states that if two minimum wages apply, an adult
worker must receive the higher of the two wages, which in this case
would be the state's minimum, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution supersedes Resolution
Number 78 -10 -CC dated the 20th of January 1978, more specifically that
portion relative to minimum wages.
