HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of February 22,1994 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Helen Fancher. All of the Commissioners were in attendance. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners received a Claim for Damages from Susan Johnson. The matter was referred to the Prosecutor for handling. The Commissioners received the 1993 SARA Title III report from Conoco,lnc. Chairman Fancher was authorized to sign the Liquor License approval for Crescent Bar Restaurant and Lounge. The Commissioners approved the purchase of a file cabinet in the amount of $750.00 by the Sheriff's Department. The Commissioners approved the purchase of a check protector by the Treasurer's Office in the amount of $1,074.60 from the Capital Outlay Fund. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Marilyn Foltz of the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to Legal Secretary IV salary. The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff's Department to allow Alan Key to transfer 15 days of his sick leave to his wife, Communications Officer Cheryl Key. The Commissioners approved the request by the Prosecuting Attorney for the amount of $3,000 from Criminal Justice Funds to hire Eric Weston of Visual Tools for Trial Attorneys to prepare a video for use at trial. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding 10:00 a.m. bid opening -Herbicides, Supplemental Agreement(Dodson Road), Bid Award Recommendation Track Loader, Unsecured Load -Fees, Road Construction -Dust, and 11:00 a.m.Steve Hallstrom(Street Lights). The Commissioners approved the recommendation of the Public Works Director that the bid for a track loader be awarded to NC Machinery Company for the price of $165,142.23. A Bid Opening was held regarding Herbicides. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that the bids be referred to Public Works for their review and recommendation. The motion carried. The Commissioners appointed Gary Sieg and Randy Visker to a further 4 year term on the Grant County Noxious Weed Control Board. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 2/22/94 in the total amount of $118,887.51. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal for the month of February in the total amount of $67,689.09. The Commissioners received a signed copy of the Intergovernmental Agreement between Washington State Department of Community Development and Grant County on Growth Management.
