Week of April 25,1994
The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. with
Commissioner Tim Snead and Commissioner LeRoy Allison in attendance, with the Clerk
of the Board. Commissioner Fancher was out of the office due to illness.
The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as
written.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of David L. Smith of the Building
Department to $2,126 per month.
The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff's Office to purchase a
polygraph activity sensor chair in the amount of $800.00 from Law and Justice Funds.
The Commissioners appointed Jennifer Newhouse, Bonnie Decker, Daniel Sloan,
and Gaye McClenden to positions on the Grant County Mental Health and Developmental
Disabilities Board.
The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Donna Lee and Dahlia Rubio
of the Prosecutors Office to $1,723 per month effective May 1,1994.
The Commissioners were notified by the Public Works Director that the 1993
Safety Project was built in accordance with the plans and specifications, and that all
materials incorporated into the project met contract specifications.
The Commissioners approved the special occasion liquor license for the Desert
Aire Golf Club -Mens Division.
The Commissioners signed the order granting re -sale of tax title property
requested by Michael R. Dalton.
A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison
that Resolution Number 94 -54 -CC adopting a policy for investment of County funds be
passed. The motion carried.
As there was no further business to come before the Board a motion was made
by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that the session be
continued until April 26,1994.
April 26,1994
The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with Commissioner Snead and
Commissioner Allison in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. Commissioner Fancher
was out of the office due to illness.
The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Bid
Authorization Auctioneering Services, Reimbursable Work -Coulee City, USBR Easement -
County Road '14' NW (Proposed), Dodson Road Project.
The Commissioners signed a contract with Tommer Construction Co.,lnc. for the
Dodson Road, CRP 92-21/CRP 93-24 project.
The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids for Auctioneering
Services, bids to be opened May 24,1994 at 10:00 a.m.
The Commissioners held a Public Hearing regarding the appointment of 3
Commissioners for Airport District #1, referred to as the Desert Aire Airport District. All
in attendance were in favor of the appointment. A motion was made by Commissioner
Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Bob Kibler, Jack Root and Bernie
Schuller be appointed to fill the term as Commissioners for Airport District #1 until the
first general election. The motion carried.
As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those
vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 4/25/94 in the total amount of
$276,434.55.
The Commissioners signed the Public Works Payroll Journal for the month of April
in the amount of $216,393.24.
The Commissioners received fully executed copies of the 1994 Dispatch
Agreements between the Sheriff's Office and Grant County Fire District #11 and Grant
County Fire District #7.
As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was
adjourned until May 2,1994.
