HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of May 2,1994 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Helen Fancher. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners approved the transfer of the 1994 contribution of $15,000 from the current expense fund to Grant County Alcohol and Drug Center Fund #115. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Kathleen Moody of the Grant County Alcohol and Drug Center to $1602 per month. The Commissioners approved the salary of Michael Pauley of the Sheriff's Office at $1737.90 per month effective April 18,1994. The Commissioners were notified that North Central Washington Regional Support Network hired Kevin Huff as their business manager effective April 25,1994 at the salary of $30,000 per year. The Commissioners approved the use of the Courthouse lawn area, lower level bathrooms, small room under the stairs, and permission to place one set of Port -a - potties on Parking Lots G and E during the Sage -N -Sun Festival June 10 through 12th. The Commissioners approved the paying of a bill for notebooks for the Law and Justice Council in the amount of $134.10 from the Sheriff's Department budget. The Commissioners were notified by the County Clerk that Melanie P. Hansen was working in her office from April 26,1994 through ,tune 10,1994 at the rate of $5.25 per hour under Clerk Hire. The Commissioners met with the Town of Mattawa regarding their Growth Management Plan. As there was no further business the session was continued until May 3,1994. May 3,1994 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Reimbursable Work -Fire District #11, Royal City, Letter -Lyerly, Cost -Share Projects and Free Dump Quantities. The Commissioners were notified the total avoided costs associated with the free dump days amounted to $38,204.29. The Commissioners signed approval of the Request to the County Road Department for Reimbursable Work to City of Royal City. The Commissioners signed approval of the Request to the County Road Department for Reimbursable Work to Grant County Fire District #11. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher Approval #4-1 through #4-2 in the total amount of $16,553.58. The Commissioners signed the April Payroll Warrants List #62865 through #63301. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 4/29/94 in the total amount of $172,871.26. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 5/02/94 in the total amount of $147,078.11. As there -was no further business the session was continued until May 4,1994. May 4,1994 The session was continued with all Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 94 -55 -CC making a SEPA threshold determination of a Mitigated Determination of Non -significance for the Sandcastle Estates Project and instructing Staff to schedule a Decision-making meeting for the Sandcastle Estates project after the close of the comment period for the SEPA determination be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners signed the 1994 Interlocal Agreement for provision of DUI Victim/ Survivors' Panel Services between Okanogan and Grant County.
