HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of September 19,1994 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners approved the request for out of State travel for Larry Yount to travel to Beaverton, Oregon. The Commissioners were notified by Elvin L. Kulp, Area Extension Agent -Chairman that he would be out of the office from September 22 to September 30 and had appointed Christy Price as Interim Chair. The Commissioners gave permission to Bob Mosher, Chief Accountant to make the necessary arrangements to put in place the Employee Assistance Program through Medical Service Corporation. Chairman Fancher was authorized to sign the agreement between Grant County Mental Health and Family and Family Service Center and Natalya Skala for Russian Interpreter Services. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that the Public Hearing regarding Urban Growth Boundaries be continued until such time as the requested information is received from the cities. The motion carried. As there was no further business the session was continued until September 20,1994. September 20,1994 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Resolution- Hearing(Road Establishment, License -Material Removal, Sale Award Recommendation, Shop/Office Discussion. The Commissioners received certification that Bridge No. 104 and No. 395 were built in accordance with the plans and specifications, and that all materials incorporated into the project met contract specifications. The Commissioners approved the recommendation of the Public Works Director that the sale of Vehicle No. 602, 1989 Ford Taurus be awarded to William Riley of Soap Lake,WA for $506.88. The Commissioners signed a license to remove material for Mary Hensler. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 94 -101 -CC setting a public hearing for October 11, 1994 at 10:30 a.m. regarding the intent of Grant County to establish a certain county road named 'H' NW Road be passed. The motion carried. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 9/19/94 in the total amount of $256,166.04. A Public Hearing was held and a motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 94 -102 -CC relating to a supplemental extension in the Juvenile Department #117, Current Expense Fund #001 budget from unanticipated state and/or federal funds in the amount of $3,000 be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners approved a request by the Grant County Alcohol and Drug Center for remodeling and purchase of certain items from Law and Justice Funds. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was adjourned until September 26,1994.
