Box 37 Ephrata, Wa. 98823 Dear Commissioners; This letter is to advise you of completing the process required to fill the position of Assistant Secretary to the Building and Fire Marshals Office as approved on 10-04-94» We advertised this position in the_Grant County Journal, three times during a two week period, as well as providing information to the various county offices of the opening. We received approximately twenty two applications, which we screened in office and from them selected three candidates which we determined had the qualifications and past experience we desired for this position. On Wednesday, 10-26-94 we conducted interviews with the three selected candidates. After careful evaluation of the interviews, I selected the candidate with qualifications and experience best suited to fill this position. I have offerd the position to Marina J. Conklin of Soap Lake, and she has accepted it. Marina's experience in performing the functions of this position as Temporary Clerk Hire best suits the new position of Full Time Assistant Secretary. Marina's Temporary Clerk Hire date was 4-21-94, we are requesting permission to waive the 80% starting salary and start her at 90%. I would also reqq}}. t that the effective date of hire be established as Ate, 1994. This was the first working day of a new month after the retirement program was initiated for Marina as re uired by law for temporary hire. T nk you f r yo time and we await your decision.
