HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of November 7,1994 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Helen Fancher. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of L. Scott Granger of the Sheriff's Department to $1,719 effective October 1,1994. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Kelley Beebe of the Sheriff's Department to $1,625.40 effective November 1,1994. The Commissioners received a fully executed copy of Contract/ Amendment Number 231593129(7) between the Department of Social and Health Services and Grant County Mental Health Department. The Commissioners appointed Marilyn Meseberg to a position on the Grant County Tourism Commission to replace Rod Meseberg who resigned. The Commissioners approved the request by the Grant County Building Department Director to give Marina Conklin credit for the medical benefits she earned as a temporary employee. The Commissioners approved out of State travel for Sharon Kiehn to attend the Association of County Human Services meeting. The Commissioners received an affidavit of Troy Mclanahan. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney. A Public Hearing was held to review the record and adopt findings on the zone change request by Gail Stevens and Stratford Road Property Owners. A motion was made that the matter be continued until November 15,1994 at 9:00 a.m. The motion carried. A Public Hearing was held regarding consideration of the adoption of an ordinance establishing a Hearing Examiner Office. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison to continue the matter to November 28,1994 at 7:00 p.m. for further public input. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 94 -124 -CC in the matter of changing the zoning from Agriculture to S-2 in a portion of S19,T20N.,R23E.W.M. as requested by Robert Christiansen be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners set a Public Meeting for November 28,1994 at 2:00 p.m. regarding the zone change request from Agriculture to Heavy Industrial by Jim E. Ellsworth. As there was no further business the session was continued until November ••� November 8,1994 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 11/7/94 in the total amount of $535,464.74. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 94 -125 -CC setting a public hearing for November 29,1994 at 1:30 p.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Current Expense Fund #001, Coroner Department #120 in the amount of $5,000 be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners notified the Accounting Department that they had given approval for Grant County Mental Health to spend the amount of $500.00 for artwork for their remodeled building. The Commissioners held a Public Hearing regarding the Kriete/Hasper zone change request. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead to accept the request by Mr. Kriete and Ms. Hasper to withdraw the application. The motion carried. The Commissioners held a Public Hearing regarding the zone change request by Verlyn and Bonnie Cole from Agriculture to Agriculture -Suburban in a portion of S8,T20N.,R29 E.W.M. A motion was made by Commissioner Snead, seconded by Commissioner Allison that the Determination of Non -significance be signed. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead to approve the zone change with the condition of approximate 10 acre parcels, with Fire Marshal, Public Works, and Health District comments to be addressed and Staff to prepare findings of fact. The motion carried. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was adjourned until November 14,1994.
