WASHINGTON 98823 15091 754.2011 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS GRANT COUNTY, WASHINGTON IN THE MATTER OF CHANGING THE ZONING FROM "S-A (SUBURBAN - AGRICULTURE)" TO 11S-1 (SUBURBAN) IN A PORTION OF SECTION 1, TOWNSHIP 19 N., RANGE 28 E., W.M.. RESOLUTION NO. 94 -131 -cc RESOLUTION ADOPTING PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION Arlo Leishman WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County have been advised by the Grant County Planning Commission that a public hearing was conducted on October 5, 1994 on the matter of changing the zoning from "S-A (Suburban -Agriculture)" to "S-1 (Suburban)" in a portion of said Section 1, Township 19 North, Range 28 East, W.M. and; WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have given notice this matter would be considered at their regular meeting on November 1, 1994. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have given notice this matter would be considered at a Public Hearing on November 22, 1994 due to additional concerns being raised at the public meeting. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners after receiving additional public comment have signed a Determination of Non -Significance for the development. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have conditioned approval on the developer complying with Section II (A) through Section H (K) of the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District Resolution 90-14 (District Subdivision Policy). WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have conditioned approval of the zone change on development of an adequate road system at time of preliminary plat. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners for Grant County, Washington by this Resolution, amend the Grant County Comprehensive Plan and Official Zoning Map for Grant County to the effect that the following described property shall henceforth be zoned as S-1 (Suburban): A portion of Farm Unit 30, Irrigation Block 41, Columbia Basin Project in a portion of the South one-half of the Southeast one-quarter of Section 1, Township 19 North, Range 28 East, W.M., Grant County, Washington. Site consists of 30 acres. WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Grant County find: The proposed development is within the proposed Urban Growth Boundary Area and the transition buffer zone developed between the City of Moses Lake and Grant County; and 2. The proposed development is compatible with surrounding land uses of this area; and 3. The proposed development is compatible with zoning of this area; and 4. The development is within the guidelines of the Growth Management Act.
