RESOLUTION NUMBER 94-149 -CC
IN THE MATTER OF ESTABLISHING THE EFFECTIVE
DATE OF SALARIES AND BENEFITS NEGOTIATED
DURING THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING PROCESS FOR 1995
WHEREAS, labor negotiations for 1995 were initiated in 1994 by and between
Grant County and Teamsters Local No. 760, and
WHEREAS, labor negotiations are still progressing; however, it is unlikely the
parties will reach a settlement prior to January 1,1995,; and
WHEREAS, the effective date of salaries and benefits is recognized to be a
negotiable item; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Grant county Commissioners deems it in the best
interest of the County, the employees, and consistent with statutory limitations, to
indicate that salaries and benefits negotiated for 1995 may be negotiated to be
effective January 1,1995, even though the collective bargaining process may not
be concluded by January 1,1995; and
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Grant County Commissioners that the
following be and is hereby adopted:
That the salary/wage rate and benefits negotiated for 1995 may, at the
discretion of the Board of County Commissioners and/or pursuant to
settlement of collective bargaining agreements, be effective January
1,1995.
