HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of January 23,1995 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Tim Snead. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners signed the Law Enforcement Agreement between the Grant County Sheriff's Office and the Town of Marlin for the 1995 year. The Commissioners signed the Dispatch Services Agreement between the Grant County Sheriff's Department and McKay Memorial Hospital, Fire District #6 and Fire District #8 for the 1995 year. The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Deputy Larry Yount to attend the Oregon Traffic Safety Commission Spokesman Conference in Eugene, Oregon. The Commissioners were notified of the termination of Dan Pitman of Grant County Alcohol and Drug Center. The Commissioners received a Claim for Damages from Bill and Sue Zimbelman. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. The Commissioners approved the amount of $1,509 from the Family Support Division of the Prosecuting Attorney Department capital outlay budget. The Commissioners approved the request by the Grant County Historical Museum for the payment of $30,000 for 1995 operation expenses and $20,000 for their building fund. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 95 -9 -CC designating Ricardo Gamez to provide the services of a County Designated Mental Health Professional effective February 1,1995 be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners received a Claim for Damages from Richard Roybal. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. The Commissioners approved the request by the County Clerk for a change of hours for his office. The Commissioners held a Public Hearing on the reconsideration of the Kinney/Thornton rezone request. After hearing testimony a motion was made by Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Snead that the matter be taken under advisement. The motion carried. As there was no further business to come before the Board the meeting was continued until January 24,1995. January 24,1995 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding 10:00 a.m. Bid Opening -Bridge No. 122 and Bridge No. 246, 10:30 bid opening -Cars and pickups, Accident Claim and Substance Abuse Policy. The Commissioners held a Bid Opening regarding Bridge #122 and #246. A motion was made by Commissioners Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Allison that the bids be referred to Public Works for their review and recommendation. The motion carried. The Commissioners held a Bid Opening regarding vehicles. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Allison that the bids be referred to Public Works for their review and recommendation. The motion carried. The Commissioners approved the purchase of four new personal computers and a laser printer in the Assessors Office from the Capital Outlay budget. The Commissioners approved the 1995 longevity rate at $10.93. The Commissioners approved the road designation request in an approved plat requested by Ron Gear. The Commissioners received a copy of a Contract between the Department of Community Development and Grant County Emergency Management. The Commissioners received a signed copy of an Agreement between Grant County and the Town of Hartline for law enforcement services. The Commissioners signed the Public Works Claims Fund Voucher Approval #12- 1 through 12-44 in the total amount of $51,238.78. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 1/23/95 in the total amount of $242,352. The Commissioners signed the 1995 Dispatch Agreement between Grant County and Grant County Fire District #7. The Commissioners approved out of state travel for Michael Shay to attend the Police Liability Seminar in Bend, Oregon. The Commissioners approved the purchase of 25 ballistics vest from the Capital Outlay Budget in the amount of $7,475 for the Sheriff's Department. The Commissioners approved the purchase of 5 new computers in the Building Department from the Capital Outlay Budget. The Commissioners were notified by the City of Grand Coulee that they wished to be included in the excise taxation for Enhanced 911 services. Chairman Snead was authorized to sign the notification of SEPA Lead agency status on the Grant County Public Works Department -Grant County Solid Waste Management Plan Update and the Lonnie and Joan Adams Zone Change request from Suburban -Agriculture to General Commercial.
