HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - New Hope DV/SACOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of February 6,1995 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Tim Snead. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners approved the Request for Transfer in the Cooperative Extension Department in the amount of $575.00. The Commissioners approved the request by Clerk Gordon Harris to allow Janeen Downing to carry over into 1995 2 vacation days. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Janeen R. Downing of the Clerks Office to $1725.20 per month effective February 1,1995. The Commissioners approved the salary of Mike McAtee of the Juvenile Probation Department at $1,932 per month effective February 1,1995. The Commissioners approved the request by the Juvenile Probation Department for upgrading and adding to their Local Area Network in the amount of $8,214.92. The Commissioners appointed Robert J. Schrom to a position on the Grant County Housing Authority Board to replace Curt Morris for the remainder of his term which expires September 1997. Chairman Snead was authorized to sign the approval of Liquor License Transfer application from Lake Spokane Development, Inc. to Barb's Kountry Kitchen. Chairman Snead was authorized to sign the Hotel/ Motel Voucher Local Government Resolution and Certification for Grant County Community Action Council grant funding through the Emergency Shelter Grants Program from the U.S. Department of Housing and urban Development. Chairman Snead was authorized to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between Grant County and Radio Station KBSN/ KDRN and Radio Station Kona to provide emergency broadcast capabilities. The Commissioners received a list of settlement lands in Grant County acquired by the United States. The information was sent to the Treasurer for handling. The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Pamela J. Neiffer of the Clerks Office at $1335.20 per month effective February 1,1995, The Commissioners took action to appoint Ron Sell as the acting Grant County Planning Director until such time as Billie Sumrall is able to return to her duties as the County Planning Director. The Commissioners signed the 1995 Dispatch Agreement between the Grant County Sheriff's Office and the Mattawa Police Department. The Commissioners received a petition requesting that a night hearing be held regarding the McConkie Plat application. The Commissioners received a Notice of Appeal from James Gibbons, et ux regarding RID 93-3, Marine View. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was continued until February 7,1995. February 7,1995 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Bid Award Consideration -Roller, Rock Rake, Tilt Trailer and Distributor, Bid Re -Authorization -Tilt Trailer, DNR Lease Renewal -Alkali Dropbox Site, Building Department vehicle, STP Enhancement Project Application -Airway Drive. The Commissioners signed the Authorization to Call for Bids on one Tilt Trailer for February 21,1995 at 10:30 a.m. The Commissioners signed a contract with Tommer Construction Co.lnc. on Bridge #122 and Bridge #246. The Commissioners received a letter from Kaiser and Douglass regarding a claim by Bill and Sue Zimbelman. The matter was referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for handling. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office 2/6/95 in the total amount of $337,624.91. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was adjourned until February 13,1995.
