HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - BOCCCOMMISSIONERS' PROCEEDINGS Week of March 6,1995 The Grant County Commissioners session was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Tim Snead. All of the Commissioners were in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. The Commissioners read and approved the minutes of the preceding session as written. The Commissioners approved the starting salary of Heidi M. Monesmith of the Clerks Office at $1335.20 per month effective March 1,1995. The Commissioners approved the appointment of Robert Sutter as a member of the ADA Compliance Committee. The Commissioners approved the salary increase of Randie Ralston of the District Court Department to a Deputy Clerk 11 salary effective March 1,1995. The Commissioners approved the purchase of various computer equipment for the Elections Department in the amount of $33,688. The Commissioners received a signed copy of Form Amendment # 5 of Contract No. IA -GR -9395 between North Central Washington Regional'Support Network and Grant County. The Commissioners approved the time increase of Linda Edwards of the Grant County Fair to 75 percent time retroactive to January 1,1995. It also will include accumulation of annual and sick leave days retroactive to January 1,1995 earned at a proportional rate to time worked. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 95 -21 -CC setting a Public Hearing for March 28,1995 at 1:30 p.m. for the purpose of declaring certain property surplus be passed. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Allison that Resolution Number 95 -22 -CC setting a Public Hearing for March 28,1995 at 1:30 p.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the D.D. Residential Program in the amount of $45,656 be passed. The motion carried. The Commissioners signed an agreement with the Quincy Fire Department for dispatching services in the 1995 year. The Commissioners signed the payroll warrants list #69249 through #69724 for the month of February. A Public Hearing regarding various emergency appropriations was continued until March 13,1995. As there was no further business to come before the Board a motion was made by Commissioner Aliison, seconded by Commissioner Fancher that the meeting be continued until 9:00 a.m. March 7,1995. The motion carried. March 7,1995 The session was continued at 9:00 a.m. with all of the Commissioners in attendance with the Clerk of the Board. Commissioner Allison was absent in the afternoon to attend a meeting on the Hanford Reach in Tri -Cities. The Commissioners met with the Public Works Director regarding Road Vacation Petition-SR17/Airway Drive, Airway Drive/ Cochran Intersection, Herbicide Purchase, and 'K' NW. The Commissioners approved the request by the Sheriff to attend the Washington - Oregon Sheriff's meeting in Seaside, Oregon. The Commissioners approved the request by the Data Processing Department for the purchase of an organizer for computer equipment. The Commissioners were notified that Eddie Thomason of the Cooperative Extension would be retiring effective May 1,1995. The Commissioners held a Public Hearing regarding the application for funding from a Community Development Block Grant for the Community Action Agency. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Snead to approve the grant application. The motion carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Fancher, seconded by Commissioner Snead that Resolution Number 95 -23 -CC setting a Public Hearing for March 28,1995 at 1:30 p.m. relating to the facts requiring an appropriation and expenditure of funds for the Current Expense Fund #001, Prosecuting Attorney Department #109 in the amount of $10,000 be passed. The motion carried. As of this date the Board by a majority vote does approve for payment those vouchers included in the list filed in the Auditors Office March 6,1995 in the total amount of $307,323.92. As there was no further business to come before the Board the session was adjourned until March 13,1995.
