RESOLUTION NUMBER 95- 47 -CC
WHEREAS, as Senate Substitute Bill 5370 was passed on April 4,1995 and
signed by the Governor on April 13,1995, and
WHEREAS, SSB 5370 adds a new section to Chapter 39.58 and amends
RCW 42.24.115, and
WHEREAS, the new section to Chapter 39.58 allows counties to use credit
cards for official government purchases and acquisitions, and
WHEREAS, Grant County allows the use of credit cards under certain
circumstances for travel pursuant to RCW 42.24.115, and
WHEREAS, the current policies and practices at Grant County provide a
satisfactory system of cash management and efficiencies,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that until it can be
demonstrated otherwise, Grant County will not issue credit cards for general
purchase and acquisition of goods and services, not withstanding current practices
for travel expenses.
